Correct me if I’m wrong but if you wanted a push rod engine why didn’t you get a Chevy they basically have perfected their design and you can’t go wrong with the Allison trans

I always loved ford trucks but when u said dual alternator i literally started drooling i didnt know rhey had that package the later "did i mention duel alternator " i laughed a lil to hard lol 😂😋🤣👍👍

I am a Ford man as well, got that from my dad and my grampaw. I love this truck. And like you I am not much of a diesel person. In fact I was looking for a used diesel truck and could not make up my mind what to get so just so happens there is a diesel mechanic not far from me I stopped by his garage and he told me NOT to buy a diesel and go find me either a 08 1/2 -10 V10 or a newer 6.2 gas engine truck. The new 7.3 gas trucks were still out of my price range even used. I still have not bought anything so maybe by time I do buy I can afford a used 7.3 gas.

I’m personally in love with diesel vehicles. my car is a diesel Volkswagen for mpg and I have always said if I was spending that much I’d buy only a diesel. I like Ford diesel most I’ve owned 3 6.0 power strokes and love them for company vehicles cause they are becoming cheap for what you get. I Still have two diesel trucks now. Always said gas truck id go with a gm product but I completely changed last few years with the gas engines they have been producing. And now modern maintenance on diesels are crazy compared to the old 6.0 I’m familiar with. Damn epa has been killing the Diesel engines. Grew up around gmc and chevy but now I prefer the Ford cab and the size and looks. I’ve been watching you for so many years glad to see the success roll in for the family after providing so much value to us. I think I started watching you before I could drive and now I’m 23 an own my own construction business with help of the lessons learned from your videos over the years. You will not have the issues of poor heating having a gas engine that’s what I miss most about my diesel fleet. Hope you put it to work for us and don’t baby it haha.

That 7.3 pushrod gasser is one heck of an engine. I remember when Ford announced this engine and I was thrilled for a new cast iron block engine. Its been optimized to get very very good few economy for such a large engine and almost as much towing capacity.

My work bought 2 of these trucks and there nothing but garbage there always in the shop broken down and they dont even have 20000 miles on them.

Amazing new truck. Coming from a diesel tech I would have gone gas too on it. What's the fate of the old truck? Always find it hard to let one go after thay kind of time amd the memories with it.

I can't believe it has just about every option except heated rear seats. Dealer must have made a mistake and forgot to add them to the order or something.

They don't auto dim, they auto high if activated. Be prepared for everyone flashing their highs at you on dark roads. I've had my F350 Tremor Godzilla almost a year now. $70k w/o sunroof. Other than shimmy at 45 mph that dealer didn't fix it's a good truck so far.

5:18 The auto lights and LED lights maybe nice for you in your truck to see through all the Instrument cluster lights inside the vehicle and your phone screen light !! But just remember to dim them for the car's or Vehicle's or semi truck's your following there mirrors are usely shining in their eyes and yes bigger Mirrors to see the blinding lights!! or are We supposed to stop and go in to the light ? Because you can not see the road in front of you with blinding lights from behind !! thank you save a life Dim your light and get them adjusted right for the brightness of them Led lights!! please!! And ford lights are the worst for blinding people

It’s always fun watching someone get excited about their purchase. My favorite part was Cody explaining the 7.3 being a pushrod engine (one of the reasons I’d like LS engines). I will say, at 29 years old…I really don’t like any of the newer vehicles and have no plans of buying myself a new pickup. Lots of stuff you don’t really want…but you have to pay for anyway. If Ford really wanted to earn some brownie points, make the secondary alternator a welder option.

I have a 2019 with the 6.7 Diesel, we love this truck. Pulls our camper / toy hauler like it isn't even there. Best truck on the road SUPER DUTY.

I think Ford should seriously give you a call. Eighteen minutes into your new Ford unboxing video up pops an ad for a red Chevy Duromax. (Needless to say, I only saw 5 seconds of it before hitting "Skip Ad" to get back to the demo of the backup camera). Where that backup camera really comes in handy is making sure you never leave a dimple in someone's front license plate with the ball on your trailer hitch while parallel parking in the city :-). Great looking truck, but I'm afraid this spring you will find yourself using the Yanmar a lot more so you don't have to get those floormats muddy.

Cody, Be aware of the problems with the keyless fobs. GP Outdoors shared a story of his Toyota truck being stolen and how easy it really is (search his USmuchs channel) . You may want to investigate how to protect your key fob. Nice truck, the deer better look out now.

I'd keep the "old" Ford. It make a good truck for Jack 1st vehicle and a good "farm" truck so you can keep the new one nice as possible for longer

I've liked my 2019 super duty lariat overall with a few minor hair pull moments. I hope you got the extended warrantee that covers all the electronics (there are lots). I've already used it and mine isn't even to 9000 miles yet.

Really nice truck, congrats. Should defintly get a nice front and rear bumper and brush guard on the front so you don't have anything like the 4Runner happen. And with a work truck, the nice steal bumpers make it nice to have less chance for damage.

You are pretty damn stupid to bypass and not get the diesel. That kind of money for a gas truck, ....well, I've lost faith in your common sense.

I love that you are happy with the new truck! Every family needs a truck. I mean no disrespect at all, but we have had bad luck with ford's. Lots of buttons, door handles, latches and gauges breaking. Any insight? Love your vids btw! Cheers bud!

I'm an Oregonian as well, and I agree that used truck prices are absolutely insane right now! Curious on what your fuel economy difference will be between the 7.3 and V10. I had a V10 F350 for a few months until a tree smashed the cab in. But cant say I missed the 9mpg

I bet the forward facing cam is for plow hookup. Having spent several years snow plowing, a front facing camera would be handy... but you certainly get use to not having one: nice little bonus I'd wager.

I think the 7.3 is the best engine Ford has right now.

Not sure if it has been said but there IS a key. If you squeeze where its knurled (next to where keyring would go) on the FOB and pull there is actually a key in there. At least I believe there would be. Had a FOB that had that.

I understand that diesels are more expensive and your wife might not like the smell but they hold there value better most of the time, and they’re just tougher drivetrain wise. You can also tow more with a diesel. Overall tho nice truck!
