You’ve never seen an old growth “live oak”?... they can be 6’, 8’,10’ in diameter. Tulip trees, no we don’t have gianormous redwoods... lol

Wasps are important as they pollinate many plants and have their place in the food chain of their ecosystem.

good question ,what do wasps do . bees fertilise fruit trees and make honey . flies only live a few days .

An east coast guy would know what wasp are good for. Believe it or not, wasps do more good than harm. They play a vital role in protecting gardens and farm crops by controlling pest populations. They capture and consume insects such as flies, caterpillars and beetle larvae.

I've got three pine trees (at least) in the front of my yard that are about the width of those logs you're working with if not wider. ... And I live in Fredericton NB Canada, which is decidedly east coast :). I invite you and Jack out to come and try and cut them down with a skillsaw any time you'd like ;P.

@Wranglerstar are you thinking of getting a 2nd fire fighting pump to allow you to pull from the river and keep it running there for you have a charged line to the house etc. And yes us Aussies are great and build amazing stuff hence partly why Trump has named USS Canberra a LCS Naval ship built by Austal and Australian company!

Trout will freeze in a pond then thaw out in spring and still be fine. In rivers their metabolism slows down and they dont need to feed nearly as often. Trout stay to a certain region even in winter.

Wished I could add a picture. I would show you a picture of my buddies mill, where we were milling a piece of Osage Orange. You talk about East Coast and West Coast trees, try a good Midwest tree, the Osage Orange. In this case, milled by a transplanted New Englander and a transplanted Idahoan. LOL. Unfortunately milling Osage Orange is a loosing proposition because it just eats up saw blades. Maybe your circular head rig would do better.

Are you guys kidding? I’m in Maine which is as far east as you can go, and I have 3’ and 4’ diameter pine trees all around me. I also have 24” oaks everywhere. What are yo talking about, we don’t need large bladed mills? We use band-saw mills because our trees are too big for anything with a circular saw blade. I’ve never seen an 8’ diameter circular saw to cut the large pines around here, I don’t think your 30” blade is going to get to far around here.

Do you have fluid filled tires on your tractor? I just did it helps a lot with traction especially when I don’t have an employment on the rear three point, but It did add about 1000 pounds to the tractor which is harder to trailer.

The strut is either a pressurized gas or oil mix, using a plunger with a wafer on it, when it moves up and down the gas or oil has to go through the wafer and that creates the resistance you feel. Kinda like those kid toys that are the tube with a piece in side that makes funny noises when you turn it upside down.

Jack is a great kid but I think he should do his last two or three years in a school, public or private. He has obviously missed 9th grade Biology plus the opportunity to take Environmental Science. A couple of years spent with kids that share similar interests, both male and female, will not lead him toward a life of crime. Both of my kids have masters degrees and 1 thru 12 were educated in public schools.
