Have you thought of getting a gander(male goose) with your chickens? Historically they have been protecting chickens on farms from foxes and dogs... but from what I've heard, they are a bit noisy.

I caught a dog killing all my chickens, the dog died of lead poisoning.

Tyre throwing helps.

This isn't a joke. Get yourself a lama. Wolf to foxes, a lama will beat them near to death and send them packing. It works with almost all live stock. You only need one. It will join the group and be on guard 24 hours a day.

When a dog starts killing chickens, sadly, their is only ONE way to stop it..and it's NOT a good thing for the DOGS. No matter what a trainer will tell you,,they are then Hard Wired to Kill foul

If you don't know where to place your main workbench, make it mobile!.Most everything i have can be moved. Casters and lifts are handy, and you have plenty

As a tyre technician for 20 years never once vacuumed water out of a tyre, could have got 99 % of the water out with a couple of flicks, anr a rag would have got the rest.

Cody... maybe strap the leg to he wall instead of the shelf. That shelf snaps in place correct. If it were to try and fall over, it may come unhooked from the leg.

Pretty risky task getting those tires up and down from that spot. Just cover them with a tarp outside. Tires are relatively cheap and durable, would hate to see you slip and splat from up there. Same goes for that brakeless jalopy forklift. No reason to operate like some 3rd world outfit in India. Fix it or get a new one. And if this comes across as bossy or none of my business, fair enough. Sometimes guys need to hear sensible advice that people around them are afraid to give. I've seen people get hurt real bad from circumstances less dangerous than yours. You have all the reasons in the world to be as careful as you can. No one will think less of you for being more safety-minded.

We have had all our supplies that are running short now for months. I figured the pandemic would spike again and planned ahead months ago. I would be pissed about the chickens but they can make it right.

If people hit huge lines at the big box stores I recommend going to an Asian store they have great prices on huge bags of rice tons of dried noodles and pre packaged foods for generators or power tools offerup has crazy good deals

When one of my co-worker's dogs attacked her chickens, she tightly tied a chicken around the neck of her dog for an entire day. After that, it did not want anything to do with any of her chickens.

I've lost all respect for the channel I'm so sad its moved away from homesteading and I am appalled by by your jokes there not even remotely funny it's to the point that when I see a new video come up on my phone I don't want to watch it I have been a long time sub and it's sad I'm probably not the only person who has seen this and dearly hope it changes!

Here in Texas we use ice in our tea, I can't for the life of me figure out why a west coast person would put ice in their tires. 😂

Sorry about your chickens. We had to put ours in a coop building at night and out in the pen we had to cover the top with wire to keep them safe.

Just drill a hole in the bottom to drain out when storing your tires outside. Easy.

I upholster furniture for a living very high end and when we go onsite we use the same saw horses they are absolutly the best

@Wranglerstar for your tire situation, next time you may try getting 2 sections of conduit, metal of course, the length of 4 tires wide then some rope to thread through them. Run one piece of conduit through a set of 4 tires, thread the rope through then place the other piece of conduit over the tires and then thread the rope through it as well so that a semi-rigid loop ties the tires together. This should allow you to use the fork lift to take the tires on and off of your shelving one set at at time.

Just learned what a torque multipler wrench is. If you don't know, look it up and be amazed at how easily it breaks the most rusted nuts. Would love to see them put to the test and for more people to learn about what they are and how they work.

We had neighbor dogs kill our chickens on a somewhat regular basis with no desire to make things right. I kept the chickens in their run and gave the dogs some warning shots when they came over to investigate. Seemed to do the job. Neighbors have been warned, I'll do the warning shots one more time... Unfortunate situation, but my food security is priority right now.

Just thought of something..... those shelf beams might still come loose even with the chain attached. Did you bolt them to the uprights? That's a safety measure we use a Home Depot.

Went grocery shopping here in central Florida a couple days ago. No issues here. No shut downs lock downs or mask mandates. I think its more prevalent in democrat controlled cities and states. In my opinion Trump is going to pull off the win. If I'm wrong, you are correct, lock downs and rationing is going to happen. States that are more liberal are going to have it worse.

Iv had raccoons , possums, and a hawk get after my chickens. They will hide in the coupe for a few days or so then cautiously wonder out.

Hell yes, wet & dry vacs. I also feel the need to mention, that in addition to removing the bag and filter, make sure the floaty ball valve thingy is in good working order, otherwise you end up with a noisy fire hose lol.

Nice that your neighbors are doing the right thing to rectify the wrong. We have irresponsible dog owners in each direction away from our home. We have had our neighbors mastiffs come on our property and the other neighbors german shepard on the road right in front of our house when our nanny had our five little girls outside playing. Sadly to rectify that we had to install almost $6000 worth of perimeter fencing for our property. Oddly enough we were always able to keep our great dane and wwimeraner on our property even before it was completely fenced in🤷‍♀️
