@Ron Drysdale NICE! the SNZG was my gateway watch and then I too was bit by the SKX pepsi bug a few years back lol. I now have my SKX on a Strapcode Super-O Boyer Brushed & Polished . I pulled a "TGV" and keep my SNZG on a Nato lol. I have a few other pieces but those 2 are by far the ones that bring me the most joy and will pass on to my son (I already gifted him my SRPA 29 for his prom/1st "good watch" lol) I think it is safe to say that YOU good sir are a man of taste.

@Mr. Morris I totally concur ... I have both the SNK (and have also given one as a gift) and the SNZ (both on premium aftermarket leather straps) ... and two SKX's ... both purchased from LIW for $232 just before Marc confirmed that they were being discontinued. The Pepsi is on a two-tone Crafter Blue or premium navy blue leather and the black one is on a black Crafter Blue or black Horween leather. My fifth and final Seiko is a dressy watch ... an all titanium Presage. The stock bracelet is effen gorgeous and will always obviously remain on the watch. FWIW, I drive a 2006 Hyundai Tucson ... and love is as much as them watches. :)

Glad to see you and the family resting and getting better. The SKX is discontinued by Seiko now (hence why they're $350+ and no longer under $250) my brother. Having typed that if you still wanted a great "tool watch" from Seiko, under the 5 line and didn't/unable to pay the new price for an SKX, check out the Seiko5 SNZG (basically the big brother of the SNK/the watch you have). They're a bit larger but only a couple bucks more AND you get 100m of water resistance (i.e. you can swim with this bad boy). I bought the SNZG 11 over 3 years ago and it' has been with me through thick and thin, all while keeping great time.

At that kind of money, I would suggest Casio instead of Seiko 5, you will get a way better watch. I would go for Seiko, if I wanted something simple, trouble free analogue watch. The cheaper Seikos, are not very accurate. If you don't wear the watch too much, it will lose time and it will do the opposite if you have it allday on your wrist everyday. With more money, you can get great Seiko kinetic watches. Knipex is the way to go for tools! I love all Cobra, my least favorite is the super small 125, because the 150 is way more capable and still very small pocket size. The Knipex wrench, even though not as versatile as the Cobra, still is way better than any Wrench I know of. I also love their Bolt cutters!! Good gift choices there!

Wranglerstar, Very useful gifts! My parents and family just got their first John Boos cutting boards! For Brie Cheeses and bread. snack evenings. I learned about the blocks from your videos and the two blocks look great! I figured taking extra care to decide what to give is something like a maple block. Now, I'm waiting for the Knipex to get in stock at Home Depot. Merry Christmas.

Ah, Cody... I secretly hoped since it seems you keep Sabbath and are big on the truth of matters that you did not keep Christmas. Everybody is at a different place. I get it. Christmas is pagan. Just like Easter. Just because the church observes it doesn't make it pleasing to God. And no, it is not ok to worship God in pagan ways- just reread Exodus. Check it out sometime, then ask yourself, "Is it more important to keep traditions or please God." God bless, you and yours. Really enjoy your channel.

Cody, over the past few months you've mentioned items that you've created (with the help of manufacturers). For example, I think one was a velcro insert for a utility belt. I was thinking of some of these as Christmas gifts too. Is there a particular website or web store where you have listed these? If not, I would love a Cody invention list video.

Great recommendation on the Seiko 5 watches. They are some of my favorite watches I've ever owned... I still wear my Seiko 5 "Superior" model pretty much daily and I've had it at least 15 years. Fantastic time-pieces. The one you mentioned (avail with different color bands) often goes on sale for prices below $100, and for that - it's a must buy.

I have the SNK805, Do you have issues with it keeping accurate time? Mine seems to run fast every few days it's 5-7 minutes fast. Not a big deal when my cell phone is handy to adjust the time agian, but in a situation where this was my only source of keeping time, after a few weeks it would be way off, if I never adjusted it. As i type this, I look down and see it's 4 minutes fast now, and I matched up the time on my cell phone 36 hours ago.

The pliers wrench from Knipex is SO nice! I use it all the time for stuff I dont want to marr. The only thing that I'd like to see, is if there was an option for a locking mechanism. Every now and then, there are times when I'm reefing on something and I can't quite do it with these just because I have to hold the jaws close AND pull hard too...

The Knipex Tools already jumped in price to $94.03. Marketing refer to that as the "Wranglerstar Effect"... Thanks for the List Cody!!!

Not so much a gift idea, but I've been looking at freeze driers for long term food storage. Many foodstuffs including eggs can be freeze dried and stored for many years. Worth a thought in these uncertain times.

Just to clarify for anyone considering buying the Opinel. The no.4 does not lock, it is a friction folder. Only models no.6 on up have the collar lock. Easy mistake if you aren't well acquainted with Opinels. Great video Cody. Wishing you a speedy recovery. I loved watching the channel grow over the years, you've certainly deserved it. You've given me a wealth of knowledge.
